Begley and Upright Join Forces

Begley Overhead Doors announced today that it has purchased Upright Door and Dock Systems of Mississauga, Ontario.  Begley has been fabricating, distributing and servicing commercial overhead and rolling doors for over 60 years. Upright Door and Dock Systems was started over 20 years ago by founder Dave Crawford, who will be joining Begley as part of the acquisition.  With the acquisition of Upright Door and Dock Systems, Begley adds a new offering to their broad range of products and services.  They are also adding the collective experience and expertise of Dave Crawford and his team along with a roster of long-standing Upright customers.

“We have had a reciprocal relationship with Upright Door and Dock Systems for several years,” said Miles Pitt, General Manager for Begley Overhead Doors, “We share a culture of exceptional customer relationships that make for a natural union.”  For Upright, this union provides access to a broader range of resources in sales, marketing and staff that will grow their segment of the commercial/industrial door and dock market under the Begley banner. “We are proud of our success,” said Dave Crawford, founder of Upright, “and we see tremendous opportunities to build on that success as part of the Begley family.”

Given the existing relationship between the two firms, the integration of Upright into the Begley organization will be seamless for their respective customers. Dave Crawford will continue to be the primary point of contact for existing and new customers requiring door and dock services.  Begley customers who require such services will now be able to access them through Begley while the combined firms will actively pursue new clients who can benefit from the comprehensive products and services made available by the acquisition.
